100 Proof Comedy Presents a killer night of laughs
Starring Drew Michael

Drew Michael is a Chicago comedian who focuses on life from a dark, cerebral point of view. His rumination on God, religion, Hitler, government, relationships, ex girlfriends, bestiality, pedophilia, life and death has - in addition to making people violently angry - prompted TimeOut Chicago to call him, ”Smart, funny and unabashedly crass.”
Drew is a founding member of the comedy collective, Comedians You Should Know, whose weekly showcase is the best independent stand-up show in the city. The Onion AV Club echoed that sentiment: ”The genuine quality of talent on display is unrivaled in Chicago.” The group also released a self-titled album last year that debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. This year, Drew had the privilege of performing in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.
Already a staple on the Chicago scene, Drew is one of the hardest working, most unapologetically convicted comedians in the country. See him now, while you still can, before he is viciously murdered by an ex-girlfriend, an unruly audience member, or himself.

Joe Kilgallon
Born and raised in Chicago, Joe Kilgallon has been performing stand-up comedy since 2006. With a background in improv and sketch writing, Joe fuses well-polished material with riffing and crowd work to construct a perfectly well-rounded act. His in-your-face style and charismatic charm help Joe paint stories drawn heavily from personal experience and his Chicago-Irish roots, making him an instant favorite and the type of comedian everyone wants to share a drink with after the show.
In 2011 Joe hit the road hard performing in cities across the country including L.A., New Orleans, Washington D.C., St.Louis, Cleveland, and even a stop in Toronto, Canada.
Joe is also a proud member of the Comedians You Should Know, a group of six Chicago based stand-up comedians who released an album in February of 2011 that debuted at number one on the iTunes comedy charts.

Sherman Edwards
Sherman was recently named ‘Best Stand Up Comic in Chicago’ by the Chicago Reader and has been lucky enough to perform at the TBS Just for Laughs Festival in Chicago, The Del Close Marathon in New York, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and a few other notable places which has given him his cool, comfortable, laid-back style. Born and raised in Virginia but currently residing in Chicago, he can be found doing stand up, plays, improv and you can currently see him on the new series Single Long airing exclusively on HBO GO. He really likes cheese and hopes you do too. It’s okay if you don’t though. More for him.

100 Proof Comedy Supports “Family Rescue”

The 100 Proof Comedy show on February 18th will help benefit the charity “Family Rescue,” an organization that provides support services and shelter to victims of domestic violence. If you mention, at the time of your ticket purchase, that you are purchasing your ticket to help support family rescue, we’ll donate a portion of those ticket sales to the charity. We’ll also do a raffle for donations, with great prizes from businesses all around Chicago-land. Come on out and help us make a difference!
As always, we have a stellar lineup of some of Chicago’s favorite Comics. Headlining the evening will be Bill Cruz!

Considered Chicago’s premier queer comedian, Bill Cruz has become a pillar of the Chicago Stand-Up Comedy scene with his experience of more than 8 years. Bill Cruz is a native of Denver, Colorado (and flaming Broncos Fan) who originally moved to Chicago in 1999 upon graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder to pursue a career in Theatre. 4 years later, he started doing stand-up comedy. Starting out in small rooms, the man simply known as “The Gay Mexican” started making waves in the Chicago Comedy scene, performing at the Lincoln Lodge, Zanies Comedy Club, Chicago Underground, Laugh Factory Chicago, and numerous Mikey-O Comedy Shows. Not to be contained, Bill has spread his wings performing all across Midwest at Colleges and Clubs, and finally hitting the coasts in NY as well as LA, including appearing in OUTLAUGH: The Gay and Lesbian Comedy Festival (available on Netflix).
