Sherman was recently named ‘Best Stand Up Comic in Chicago’ by the Chicago Reader and has been lucky enough to perform at the TBS Just for Laughs Festival in Chicago, The Del Close Marathon in New York, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and a few other notable places which has given him his cool, comfortable, laid-back style. Born and raised in Virginia but currently residing in Chicago, he can be found doing stand up, plays, improv and you can currently see him on the new series Single Long airing exclusively on HBO GO. He really likes cheese and hopes you do too. It’s okay if you don’t though. More for him.

The Jesse Baltes farewell Chicago performance!
Jesse Baltes got his start in comedy in 2003 when he became a member of recess, George Washington University’s oldest sketch and improv comedy group. In 2005, he began doing stand-up and was a finalist in the D.C. Improv’s Funniest College Competition for two consecutive years! Jesse founded Washington, DC’s Mathatter Showcase before making his home in Chicago. While in Chicago, he has performed all over the city, becoming a favorite perfomer in a city known for great comedy. He has performed all over the United States, and has shared the stage with some of the nation’s top comics, including Eddie Gossling, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, and T.J. Miller.
Jesse is moving to Los Angeles, but before he leaves, he returns to headline 100 Proof Comedy in his farewell Chicago performance. On January 28th, join Jesse, alongside a lineup of comics hand-picked by him in a very special edition of 100 Proof comedy.

January 1st, 2013; 6 - 10 pm. 20 comedians. $12 (in advance. $15 at the door).
This New Year’s Day, nurse your hangover and start your New Year with ample laughs from 20 of Chicago’s favorite stand-up comedians!
Our show starts at 6pm, but your $12 ticket ($15 at the door) allows you to come and go as you please during our 4 hour stand-up marathon. We’ll have a full bar, including bloody marys to nurse your hangover, and 20 hilarious comedians to help you forget last night’s mistakes.
