June 2nd - 2112
Tonight at midnight, at The Playground Theatre, we’ll open a portal that will allow us to travel 100 years into the future, to the year 2112.
We’ll travel to the Chicago Comedy Museum, in an exhibit that is an exact replica of “The Old Playground Theatre,” and see a show performed by comedians exactly one century from that moment.
If you’ve ever wondered what comedy will be like in the future, this is a one-time only event that you don’t want to miss!
ALSO - Before the portal is open, we’ll be sealing a time capsule to be opened in exactly 100 years at the very show we’ll be witnessing. Everyone is encouraged to BRING AN ITEM so that comedians in the future can know what life was life in our time!
Exactly WHO will be performing?! We don’t know. We haven’t opened the portal yet. One thing’s for sure - it’s going to be a ton of fun, and we’d love to have you there!
Admission is just $5, and with inflation in 100 years, that’s practically nothing.
This show is brought to you by the fine folks at 100 Proof Comedy, and has little or nothing to do with the Rush album of the same title, who’s cover we “borrowed” for the event page.
